// about
Tom Clark
Cyber Security & Platform Specialist with enterprise-scale experience in Microsoft Azure and E5 environments — from Azure landing zones and Zero Trust to the full Defender suite and Sentinel.
I've built and secured Microsoft cloud platforms at enterprise scale — most recently at the London Borough of Harrow (2,500+ staff, 5,000+ devices), and previously at New Zealand Police (15,000+ staff, 30,000+ devices). I thrive in complex environments that require tailored solutions with strict requirements.
My work sits at the intersection of security operations and platform engineering: designing Zero Trust architectures, implementing the full Microsoft E5 Defender suite, building out Sentinel SIEM/SOAR, hardening identity with Conditional Access and PIM, and ensuring compliance against frameworks like PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and CIS Benchmarks.
I believe security should enable business, not block it. The most effective security programmes I've been part of are ones where guardrails are embedded from the start — not bolted on after. I actively invest in staying current through the ISFL (Information Security Forum London) and continuous hands-on learning.
